Saranac Lake Capital, LLC is a boutique firm specializing in asset raising and consulting services for niche and emerging investment managers.
Sean Donohue is the Founder and Managing Member of Saranac Lake Capital, LLC. Mr. Donohue is an investor who also specializes in raising capital on behalf of emerging alternative managers focusing on niche and short alpha strategies.
Prior to founding Saranac Lake Capital, Mr. Donohue was the COO for Spruce Point Capital Management, LLC, an activist short selling firm. Prior to Spruce Point Capital, he led the Marketing & Investor Relations functions for Kerrisdale Capital Management, another short-focused research firm.
Prior to Kerrisdale Capital, Mr. Donohue was a pre launch Partner at Magister Ludi Capital Management, LLC, a global macro hedge fund. Prior to Magister Ludi, he served in corporate strategy and product marketing positions within the investment management divisions of Citi and Deutsche Bank. Mr. Donohue began his career as an analyst with the Barra Strategic Consulting Group.
Mr. Donohue received Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Mathematics and Economics from Hamilton College. He is a CAIA charter holder and member of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association. Mr. Donohue currently holds the Series 7 and 63 registrations with FINRA. He lives in Atlanta with his wife and three children.
